The Walbro FRA-4 Industrial Fuel Pump is the highest flowing of the FRA and FRD pumps, which feature smaller 1/8th inch NPT inlets and outlets for use in lower-flowing applications. It does not include a check valve to prevent reverse flow, and fuel can flow through the pump when it is not powered. It has low current draw (2 amps) but is rated to support a dry lift of up to 24 inches. A filter is required before the pump, such as a sock-type filter on the pickup, to prevent damage to the pump from debris in the fuel tank. This pump supersedes the Walbro 2402-1 fuel pump, which is discontinued.
